Lowering Links 3/4" drop (Model M12 .75) 2016 (late) - 2023 BMW K1600GTL or GT

Description

This offering is for a 2 pc set of lowering links for the late 2016 - 2023 BMW K1600GTL, GT, or B. They are designed to lower the bike approximately ¾” – 1” (dependent upon suspension settings) at seat height to provide more positive flat-footing and confidence at stop. They are made of ¼” thick cold rolled steel cut to size on a CNC plasma cutting deck. Painted with silver color enamel paint and heat baked to increase durability. Links are vacuum-packed for protection from shipping. Labels on links may vary slightly from pictures but links meet all form, fit, and finish descriptions. Slight indent at top edge of each hole/one side may be present  from normal start of plasma cutting torch, but has no effect on function.
All three mounting holes are fitment to M12 bolt size; please verify that your fitment is with all three bolt sizes the same M12 size in the stock links.
For easy installation,place the bike on the centerstand and support the rear wheel slightly (with block under rear wheel or hyd jack under swing arm) to remove residual weight. The bolts will slide out easily with very little effort. Then, remove the 3 stock bolts and replace the original aluminum links with the new steel links. When removing the bolts, be carefull to not allow the needle bearings to drop out within the link housing assembly.  Retorque bolts to specifications when finished.
Replaces BMW OEM p/n 33 54 8 560 163 Deflection Plate, applicable to model years 2016 - 2023 with all three bolt holes with M12 sizing. NOTE; BMW literature shows a change mid-2016 to change the three bolts from 2 - M12 and one M10 size to all three bolt holes to be the larger M12 size. These lowering links will provide an appreciation for the lowered condition, flat footed confidence at stops, with no resulting handling or cornering issues.
Note; model years '22 and up have an auto load leveling feature which may compensate for the 3/4" drop and will increase the preload on the ESA strut with a very firm preload to attempt to push ride height back to normal.  As a work around, the ride height sensor rod can be shortened so the ESA will think its at the desired level while its actually at the lower height.
